Two weeks ago, we were all lining up at Inverness Leisure, nerves jangling and hearts pumping. 💓

From the `Oggy Ois` at Torbreck and the families handing out jelly babies on Dores Road, to our incredible charity heroes raising thousands for causes close to their hearts, and our amazing volunteers making sure it ran like a dream, what a day it was! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

🌟 Runner Spotlight: Emma Pfister 🌟

Meet Emma, one of the many incredible runners who lit up the streets of Inverness on 8th March! ✨

Fresh off the Inverness Half Marathon and with Baxters @lochnessmarathon already under her belt, this student runner isn’t slowing down. Her next big milestone? The Edinburgh Marathon in May!

She says: "With the Half Marathon coinciding with International Women’s Day, and March being Endometriosis Awareness Month, I’m determined to raise as much as possible for the 1 in 10 women living with this condition."

She’s already smashed her initial goal, but still wants to raise as much as possible before she hits the start line in Edinburgh!

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? No, it’s just another incredible display of fancy dress at the Inverness Half Marathon and 5K! 🏃‍♂️🎭

Leading the pack was `Freddie Mercury`, who clearly decided that `The Show Must Go On` for all 13.1 miles. We’re pretty sure he was Travelling at the Speed of Light by the time he hit the finish line... 🏎️💨

From superheroes to dinosaurs, you didn`t just run, you brought A Kind of Magic to the streets of Inverness today.

A massive well done to the Inverness Shinty Club team who took on the Inverness Half!

They ran in memory of their friend Ruairidh Mackay, raising vital funds for the club and @mikeysline_, a local charity which provides life-changing mental health and suicide prevention support across the Highlands.

Well done team!

7 days ago, the streets of Inverness were filled with thousands of stories, personal bests, and incredible displays of grit and determination.

From the elite finishers` fly-bys to the final, to the emotional steps of the 5K, every single one of you did yourselves (and the Highlands) proud. 🏅🏔️

The medals are now hanging up and the legs have (mostly!) recovered, but the memories of that finish line feeling are still going strong. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
