👟✨Runner story ✨👟
Ryan McAdam is running the Inverness Half Marathon with a deeply personal mission.
On 8 July 2024, his mum was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, turning both their lives upside down.
After two challenging rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, she’s now in remission, but the journey has left a lasting impact.
Ryan is running in memory of his grandad, who passed from throat cancer in 2003, and as a thank you to the incredible medical staff who cared for his mum with compassion and empathy.
He’s fundraising for @cancerresearchuk, hoping to give back a little to an organisation that supported his and many other families facing life-changing diagnoses.
Good luck, Ryan - your run is inspiring and meaningful every step of the way!
