Third year running for Scottish Half Marathon Championships in Inverness

The 2025 edition of Inverness Half Marathon will host the Scottish Half Marathon Championships for the third consecutive year.

Taking place on Sunday 9^th March, the event will also host the North District Championships.

“We’re delighted that Inverness Half Marathon has been selected to host the Scottish Half Marathon and North District Championships once again,” commented Malcolm Sutherland, CEO of Caledonian Concepts, organiser of the Inverness Half Marathon & 5K.

“This selection is testament to the hard work of our incredible team and volunteers. It is thanks to them that we are able to put on such a fantastic event that brings together runners of all abilities from Inverness, the Highlands, Scotland and beyond.”

The Scottish Half Marathon Championships are open to scottishathletics members and North District Championships are open to scottishathletics members in the north of Scotland.

Mike Johnston, Convenor of the scottishathletics Road Running and Cross Country Commission, said: “The Inverness Half Marathon has a strong reputation for fast times and close finishes over the years. We were delighted to bring the Scottish Half Marathon Championships and the North District Champs back to the Highlands last year and another great event was delivered.

“So, following discussions by our Road Running and Cross Country Commission, we are pleased to confirm Scottish Half Marathon Championship status once again for the Inverness Half. These events are very important to the Scottish road running calendar and our Road Race Grand Prix series for top endurance athletes.

“We very much look forward to seeing the entries for 2025 and the medallists on the day in March.”
